 QCPD: Anti-Illegal Gambling Ops Yielded 21 Suspects

In line with Quezon City Police District’s continuing and aggressive anti-illegal gambling operations, QCPD Director PBGEN Nicolas D Torre III announced the arrest of 21 illegal gamblers by different police stations over the weekend in Quezon City.

La Loma Police Station (PS 1) under PLTCOL Garman G Manabat arrested Ramil Nocum 46 y/o; Leo Fe Torres 45 y/o; both residents of Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City; and Annabel Zacarias, 28 y/o, and a resident of Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City at about 3:30 PM, September 17, 2022 along No. 8 Don Pepe St., Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City. 

Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLTCOL Von June B Nuyda arrested Mark Lester, 25 y/o, Joselito Coral, 31 y/o, both residents of Brgy. Sauyo, Novaliches, Quezon City; and Mark Angelo Mojica, 20 y/o, and a resident of Brgy. Capri, Novaliches, Quezon City at about 11:00 AM, September 17, 2022 in front of 625 Biglang Awa St., Brgy. Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City.

Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLTCOL Morgan B Aguilar arrested Mopal Rogelio, 49 y/o; Anthony Torres, 40 y/o; Rjay Robles, 32 y/o; Kenneth Esguera, 27 y/o; Alvin Go, 37 y/o; Richard Davide, 43 y/o; Athonio Torres, 34 y/o; Sonny Robles, 35 y/o; Calixto Ancheta, 39 y/o; and Milo Fetalcorin, 67 y/o, all residents of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City at about 6:30 PM, September 17, 2022 at #186 San Pascual St., Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.

Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) under PLTCOL Robert P Amoranto arrested Jayson Atienza, 33 y/o; Breex Rodil, 29 y/o; Rudy Soriano, 40 y/o, all residents of Brgy. South Triangle, Quezon City; and Rhalen Zamodio, 31 y/o, and a resident of Brgy. Tandang Sora, Quezon City at about 6:45 PM, September 17, 2022 along Esguerra St., corner Scout Bayoran St., Brgy. Scout Triangle, Quezon City.

Eastwood Police Station (PS 12) under PLTCOL Resty O Damaso arrested Gerry Martirez Jr, 26 y/o, and a resident of Santolan, Pasig City at about 9:00 PM, September 17, 2022 at Obrero St., Brgy. Bagumbayan, Quezon City.

Confiscated were betting list, illegal gambling paraphernalia, and bet money.

“Ako ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa pamunuan ng QCPD sa patuloy na pagsugpo ng masasamang gawain at pagbantay sa ating komyunidad. Kami na nasa inyong nasasakupan ay lubos na sumusuporta sa inyong hangarin na tugusin lahat ng nagkakasala sa ating mahal na Lungsod Quezon,” ani ni QC Mayor Hon. Joy Belmonte. 

PBGEN Torre III commended the operatives from different police stations for their intensified operations against illegal gambling which resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of pieces of evidence.

“Ang nais natin ay mailayo ang sinuman sa pagsusugal. Hindi natin hahayaan na ito ay makasira sa kanilang kinabukasan. Kung kaya’t mariin ng aking babala sa mga kapulisan na tugisin at sugpuin ang mga ganitong sugal sa kanilang mga nasasakupan at huwag na huwag makikinabang sa anumang iligal na gawain katulad nito,” said NCRPO Director, PBGEN Jonnel C Estomo.
